## A glimpse of L1 vs L2 Norms

Take a movement of 3 units right and 4 units up. A route along the grid uses 3 + 4 = 7 units. A straight line from start to finish has length √(3² + 4²) = 5.

Both numbers describe the same movement, [3, 4], using different rules for length. Those rules are the L1 norm and L2 norm.
